The big game is just around the corner, and today we’ve got your first look at the Nike Super Bowl cleats, specifically special team editions of the Nike Alpha Pro TD for the 49ers and Ravens.

This isn’t college of course — players have individual shoe deals — so this isn’t the only shoe you’ll see on Sunday, but this is Nike’s latest, most innovative football cleat, so it’s the one the brand is putting the most effort behind this weekend and the one you’ll see on the feet of most Nike athletes.

The Alpha Pro boasts some of the most impressive technologies available, including Flywire support through the anatomically designed upper that adapts and stabilizes like no other cleat; 3/4-length Phylon wedge midsole to keep weight down and enhance forefoot control; and overall reworked cleat tips and pattern to maximize control, traction and release.

With the Year of the Snake fast approaching — the Chinese New Year is February 10 — Nike continues their footwear celebration with the new Nike Air Force 1 iD Year of the Snake options, allowing the designer to put faux-snakeskin virtually ANYwhere on Nike’s most iconic silhouette.

Alas, at least thus far, this feature is limited to physical NIKEiD studios, such as at 21 Mercer or Nike Harajuku. Stay tuned for possible updates.

The new Michigan State uniforms were debuted last night, with the Spartans donning their Nike Hyper Elite Road uniforms against Indiana, unfortunately in a loss. The innovative new uniforms sport a number of performance-driven features in their construction — laser-cut perforations, slimmer fit for reduced bulk, heat-transferred twill logos, numbers and letters — as well as striking visuals, namely the oversized chest logo and “SPARTANS” on the back nameplate.

Jordan Dominate Pro TD Cleat | Andre Johnson's Pro Bowl Shoe  阅读原文»

Andre Johnson laced up the Jordan Dominate Pro TD Cleat in yesterday’s Pro Bowl, an innovative new shoe inspired by the Air Jordan XX8.

Pictured in two Pro Bowl uniform-matching colors, the shoe sports a stretch synthetic textile covering a foot-cradling mesh inner-sleeve. Dynamic Fit technology appears on the inside, wrapping the foot with internal straps and linking up with the laces for lightweight support without inhibiting the foot’s range of motion.

No word yet on a Jordan Pro Dominate TD release date, but stay tuned for more news on the shoe (which was debuted by Michael Crabtree just a few weeks ago).

Following up the recently-debuted Nike Basketball All-Star collection inspired by space travel and the extraterrestrial, today we get a detailed look at the Nike Sportswear branch of the series, the Nike Area 72 collection.

Inspired by the fictional Nike Space Program, each shoe is designed with an eye toward alien aesthetics and top secret Area 51-style ideas. Each of the special edition shoes — Nike Blazer Mid, Nike Vandal, Nike Lunar Force 1, Nike Barkley Posite Max, Nike Air Force Max 2013 — is “infused with galactic textures, reflectivity and glow-in-the-dark highlights. Along with those elements, a new “galaxy” print adorns the inner-lining of each shoe, tying them together thematically.

Look for the Nike Area 72 collection release date on February 14th. Immediate sell-outs are incredibly likely.
