Nike Zoom Revis Fir/White

While stock of the Nike Zoom Revis is quickly dwindling on shelves and NikeStore.com, Eastbay.com now has a full size run of the first Darrelle Revis signature shoe. Buy it here, assuming it’s still in stock. (Expect it to go quickly on Eastbay.)

Combining a full-length Zoom Air unit in the midsole with a rubber outsole that features adaptive traction pads for enhanced grip, the Zoom Revis sports the ideal mix of cushioning and traction for the most serious athletic training.

Add to that a lightweight upper that’s stabilized with midfoot strap and dynamic Flywire cables, and you get a shoe that looks as good as it feels.

Air Jordan XX8 Tech Specs

Following up our limited preview, we’ve now got photos and info from the official unveiling of the Air Jordan XX8, release date set for mid-February.

The lightest, most responsive Air Jordan to date, the XX8 sports a streamlined construction courtesy of its ankle-high zip-up shroud, certainly the signature feature of the model’s physical appearance. Under the hood however, it’s even more impressive.

The newly-engineered Jordan Flight Plate improves the performance of the shoe's Zoom cushioning. The JPF is a Pebax moderator plate that ensures the heel and forefoot Zoom Air units have maximal responsiveness by compressing, deflecting and “unlocking” the air units on the fly.

Meanwhile, the shoe sports Dynamic Fit tech for superlative lockdown, stability and comfort. The Dynamic Fit system wraps the foot with internal straps, then integrating with the laces for optimal fit without adding bulk or superfluous material.

Below that is the molded external heel counter, further stabilizing the foot and reducing weight thanks to its carbon fiber construction.

And then there’s that performance-driven, second-skin-like synthetic shroud, an eight-inch-high layer comprised mostly of Schoeller mesh, a durable, breathable material often used in motorocycle jackets. When zipped all the way up, it gives the wearer an extra measure of support and stability, not to mention a little eye-catching flair.

Designed by footwear legend Tinker Hatfield and Jordan Brand developer Josh Heard, the Air Jordan XX8 release date is set for February 15th in Houston — the host city of that weekend's 2013 NBA All-Star Game — with the shoe launching nationwide on February 16th.
