The Son of Mars is one of those hybrids that, justifiably or not (your choice, obviously), has caught a lot of flack. To counter that however, Jordan Brand came up with a pretty simple solution: release fantastic colorway after fantastic colorway and leave little doubt in the minds of skeptics. Here’s the latest, the Jordan Son of Mars Bordeaux, release date as yet unannounced. Unlike some shoes that in no way resemble a ‘Bordeaux’ colorway but get the nickname anyway, this one goes multi-tone grey and black over the upper with plenty of deep red contrast on the laces, toe and heel-tab, justifying the nickname while looking pretty darn dope. Hit the jump for plenty of shots and stay tuned for release info. Photos via MarqueeSole.com
Nike is trotting out a wide variety of classic runners with modern technology upgrades this summer, especially ideal for the warmest season considering many of those tech overhauls include lightening shoes and enhancing breathability. Case in point, the Nike Elite No-Sew and Nike Air Vortex Fuse, each of which sport cooling mesh and lightweight no-sew bonding for a wildly comfortable ride. Look for the full slate of colorways this summer.
