Last holiday season, Nike Women unwrapped the wish list of 30 professional athletes and trainers with the Nike Women Get Gifted contest. A new prize was announced daily on the Nike Women Facebook page, and thousands of fans entered for a chance to win. The contest kicked off with a trip to Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon to experience a private, one-on-one workout with Nike Master Trainer Marie Purvis. When 49-year-old Gail Dragon of North Carolina discovered she was the first winner of the month-long contest, she was excited to say the least.

"I was at my computer and my dad was sitting in my living room when he heard me yell, 'Oh my god!' He started shouting, 'What? What?'―he thought I was dying or something! It was so cool to see my name as the winner. I was so thrilled."

The prize couldn't have come at a better time for Gail, who is getting ready for a big relay taking place on her 50th birthday in September. Gail flew out to Nike World Headquarters, where she was geared up in the Nike Pro Core II Compression Capri, the Nike Seamless Long Bra, and the Nike Free TR Twist Training Shoe before heading into her private training session.

Marie guided her through several NTC drills to help with her relay cross training, then provided her with several nutritional and fitness tips.

"I had her do a dynamic warm up; drills that consist of broad jumps, inch worms, squats, squat jumps, burpee's, walking lunges, and ski jumps, then we did a good core workout that consisted of some towel drills like pikes and knee tucks." Marie told us. "Gail was great to work with, she was super eager to work out and learn some new drills."

Marie also educated Gail on the different types of training gear so she can get the most out of every workout.

"Gail kept commenting on the shoes and how she could really feel the difference with them, which is great because that's our goal. We want to educate athletes on how individual pieces are designed specifically for weight training, running, etc. If you're equipped with the right gear for your activity, then you'll benefit more from it."

Gail told us that the experience left her feeling more prepared for her relay, and that her only wish was that it could have been even longer! But she's thrilled that she can prolong the experience by using the NTC app on her phone daily.

"Gail performed really well," Marie told us. "I think she had a lot of fun getting her butt kicked!"
